More About Your Luxury Treehouse Stay at Eathelin

A super deluxe, Award-Winning treehouse in a fairy-tale setting offering a magically, romantic and idyllic experience in the heart of rural England.

Designed and built by Award-Winning John and Nicki Beavan, Eathelin has been built using traditional methods and recycled wood and local materials. Nicki is a designer and John is a Christies and Sotheby’s listed cabinet maker; both have a reputation for innovative, sustainable design and superb quality.

Eathelin has been built slowly and carefully around the trunk of a majestic, living ash tree. The crown of the tree emerges through the thatched roof – branching out into a magnificent canopy over the treehouse.

On one side, the treehouse is supported by stilts. Elevated high above the ground, you have the feeling of being way up in in the tree.

Stepping inside the treehouse is like stepping into a fairy tale. Eathelin’s welcoming arch-shaped entrance door swings open to reveal an impressive living space – dominated, in the centre, by the striking spiral staircase ascending to a heavenly space where your super-king-sized bed awaits with arch-shaped window above for stargazing.  On this floor you will also find a stunning, free-standing copper bath for lovers, thoughtfully lined with acrylic and warm on the skin. Robes, slippers, enormous fluffy towels, and lovely handmade bio facial soaps are provided.

Sumptuous and opulent, light and airy, the downstairs living area, also has the wow factor – a beautiful circular space with multiple hand carved arched sash windows and a gleaming oak floor. Exquisite, handcrafted and colourful wall lights encasing ferns from the Brecon mountains add to the ethereal, fairytale setting. A large comfortable sofa with beautiful, comfy cushions, faces a flickering and crackling, log-effect fire and smart-tv. In the dining area, there's a beautiful table, hand crafted from a nearby fallen tree trunk, topped with curved glass.

Atmospheric lighting is provided by LED candles and vases of fairy lights, soft throws and blankets are on hand for snuggling up. With toasty underfloor heating throughout Eathelin is a perfect retreat throughout the seasons.

One of the most striking aspects of this space (apart from the majestic tree growing up through the middle) is the bespoke kitchen. The cabinets flow around the space – with no hard corners or sharp edges. It has been designed with a reflective base, so that the units appear to float above the floor – adding to the magical atmosphere of the treehouse.

The curved cabinets contain a round sink, with hidden drawers and cupboards, that, glide smoothly and silently open when pushed gently.

A filtered water tap dispenses, pure, cold drinking water as well as boiling water for making tea and coffee in an instant.

The Welcome Pack is overflowing with mouth-watering local produce, including artisan chocolates, tasty crackers, a delicious slate cheese board, Worcestershire honey, marmalade and eggs. A selection of drinks includes local apple juice, milk, a bottle of organic milk, Traditional English Breakfast tea, a selection of herbal teas, three types of ground coffee, instant coffee, and hot chocolate.

A smart, luxurious, modern bathroom and walk-in wet room completes the accommodation with ceiling rainfall shower, fossil sink with waterfall tap tiled throughout in natural travertine.

Eathelin is as magical outside as it is inside. Up high in the tree, a door from the living area leads to an elevated balcony that wraps itself around this luxurious treehouse, giving glorious views across the lake and to the countryside beyond. Relax at the balcony bistro set, pick up a book or enjoy an abundance of wildlife in front of you. Binoculars are provided, keep an eye out for the heron – a regular visitor amongst other feathered friends.

Four acres of glorious countryside, woods, pools, wildflower meadows and wildlife are on the doorstep. Little stone bridges and steppingstones lead to pretty, winding paths that beckon... Watch the buzzards wheeling overhead. Catch a glimpse of roe deer or kingfishers .Treeopia's pasture is rich in biodiversity - a great habitat for bees and butterflies.

At night the treehouse is lit up and glows with golden light against dark starry skies.

A path leads down from Eathelin to an enchanting dell where a covered, bubbling hot tub with nighttime lighting awaits. Your fire pit is ready to crackle or sizzle and comfortable fire-side seats have been carefully carved to enjoy the stunning view. Feel soothed by glorious birdsong and the babbling brook.

Treeopia is blessed with vast, clear skies – with no light pollution, the view of the stars is outstanding. Gaze up at Orion and The Plough twinkling through the branches.
